Scheduling-Oriented Models for Real-Time Systems

چکیده

In this paper, we deene a formal model for reasoning about resource allocation and scheduling in real-time systems. We extend the model in SZJ94], which models the functionality of agents in the language TAM. Our extended model allows us to argue about the resource requirements of real-time distributed systems, and so identify connicts upon resources. We can use the model to deene and reason about schedulers that map jobs onto resources. The model will aid in the important transformation from an initial design for a system to an actual implementation with jobs scheduled on processors .

ساختار دهی آنی داده‌‌های مکانی ورودی GIS با تأکید بر عارضه راه

An important issue in implementation of a GIS system is preparation of data to be entered in GIS. To produce spatial data for GIS using photogrammetric techniques, conventional method is to apply photogrammetric and GIS systems individually (off-line procedure). This approach is costly, time consuming and somehow unreliable due to the fact that 3D photogrammetric model is not available at the ...

Scheduling Hemodialysis Patients with Patient Preferences

Nowadays, outpatient providers are struggling to reduce the current costs and improve the service quality. A part of the outpatient service provider is a hemodialysis department with expensive supplies and equipment. Therefore, in the present paper, the scheduling of hemodialysis patients with their preferences has been studied. The aim of scheduling hemodialysis patients in this study is to mi...

Integrating Schedulability Analysis with UML-RT

The use of object-oriented techniques and methodologies to design real-time control systems appears to be necessary in order to deal with the increasing complexity of such systems. Recently, many object-oriented methods have been used for the modelling and designing of real-time control systems. We believe an approach that integrates the advancements in both object modelling and design methods,...

Safety Verification of Real Time Systems Serving Periodic Devices

In real-time systems response to a request from a controlled object must be correct and timely. Any late response to a request from such a device might lead to a catastrophy. The possibility of a task overrun, i.e., missing the deadline for completing a requested task, must be checked and removed during the design of such systems. Safe design of real-time systems running periodic tasks under th...

Demand-oriented timetable design for urban rail transit under stochastic demand

In the context of public transportation system, improving the service quality and robustness through minimizing the average passengers waiting time is a real challenge. This study provides robust stochastic programming models for train timetabling problem in urban rail transit systems. The objective is minimization of the weighted summation of the expected cost of passenger waiting time, its va...

Integrating Real-Time Synchronization Schemes into Preemption Threshold Scheduling

Preemption threshold scheduling (PTS) provides prominent benefits for fixed priority scheduling such as increased schedulability, reduced context switches, and decreased memory requirements. Since such benefits allow for scalable real-time system design, we have adopted it into our automatic implementation synthesis method for real-time object-oriented models. In this paper, we present the inte...
